The main idea of Social Impact Days is to highlight the impact that international students can have on society. It’s important that we, as a Network, foster the active engagement of exchange students with their local communities, in all kinds of initiatives that can make a positive impact. Any kind of activity that promotes, eg. volunteering on an exchange, internationalisation at home, and civic engagement fits.
The events we organized—ranging from skill-building workshops like the First Aid session, to heartwarming initiatives such as baking cookies and donating them to firefighters—show how international students can contribute meaningfully, both personally and professionally. Other events, such as the Thai Massage Workshop, Book Club, and the Turkish Culture Night, also offered opportunities for cultural exchange and deeper connection between local and international communities.
Moreover, we are proud to share that ESN Tallinn got recognized by ESN Internationalduring Social Impact Days! This acknowledgment highlights our commitment to fostering active engagement and creating a positive impact in the local community, as well as our dedication to supporting international students in becoming responsible, engaged global citizens.
We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic participation of all volunteers and attendees who made these events a success. Together, we have shown the true power of international exchange in creating a more connected, empathetic, and inclusive world!
